Synexus is the largest site management organisation in the world dedicated to the recruitment and conducting of clinical trials. We operate in over 190 sites spread over 11 countries. We are an exciting growing company and are looking to hire a commercial Contracts Manager to join their team.



Contracts Manager

location: Wrocław


Role responisibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Legal and Contracts, your primary function will be to successfully manage commercial risk through thorough and expert drafting of both national and international agreements, contributing to the strategic growth of the company and protecting business interests.

You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a range of client contracts, including site contracts and service agreements as well as contract amendments and CDA's. You will also be involved providing legal and commercial advice to internal stakeholders where necessary.

Contracts Manager will also be responsible for: 

·         Accountable for the drafting, review, amendment and execution of Client and Head Office Vendor Agreements within target timelines.

·         Identify commercial risks and address them within contract.

·         Conduct effective legal negotiations on behalf of the business.

·         Ensure timely and effective handovers of contracts to Project Leads, Finance and Operations.

·         Lead client and vendor contract calls and meetings as appropriate.

·         Provide legal assistance, support and coaching to Global Projects Team, Business Development, International Sites and the business as required.

·         Provide weekly reporting of contract status.

·         Develop and improve contracts systems, processes and tools to deliver increased efficiency or other benefits to the business.

·         Ensure Vendor contracts align with any related prime contracts.

·         Monitoring and upkeep of vendor agreements throughout the lifecycle of each project.

·         Conduct effective negotiations of vendor contracts mitigating risk and aligning with business requirements or prime client contract (as appropriate).

·         Lend the UK business contracts support for the immediate future.

·         Take over accountability for trade-marks over time.

·         Provide advice on intellectual property assets.

·         Identify potential business risks including regulatory, legal, political.

·         Identify opportunities for process improvement.

·         Keep regulatory and legal knowledge up to date.


Key competencies:

·         Law degree or life sciences degree with previous explosure to a commercial contracts setting.

·         A Pharma/Clinical Research background is a major adventage.

·         Excellent communication skills in English

·         Relevant contracts and legal experience (min 3 years) in drafting complex, high value contracts.

·         Confident negotiator with experience communicating with all levels within an organisation.

·         Practical legal research skills

·         Relevant commercial or industry experience/exposure.

·         Proven ability to deliver volume of work within high pressure environment.

·         Accurate and timely reporting.

·         Strong Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

·         Ability to present ideas and explanations in a clear manner and language.

·         Attention to detail.

·         Ability to prioritise, execute and track multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet varying timelines.

·         Self-motivated and accountability to drive projects through to completion.

·         Flexible, hard-working, proactive approach with a positive attitude to overcoming challenges.
